A few years ago I recieved this bootleg album from a friend…the record contains a bunch of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young studio session tracks recorded in 1969. I believe it was recorded at John Sebastian’s house/studio - and I think a bunch of stuff on it is mostly unreleased. I just stumbled across the album again while weeding through my iTunes collection.
This is pretty amazing stuff - my personal favorites include:
- cover of the Harry Nilsson tune - Everybody’s Talkin’
- 4 take cover of Blackbird by the Beatles….amazing. Love how they keep redoing it - each version sounds perfect.
- Everybody’s Alone (CSNY version)
